Social Erasure

In June of 2020 our neighborhood f South Minneapolis burned. The pain of George Floyds death was exacerbated by frustration and anger over the police.

My art from that time mirrors the tension I felt. I was told that “12” is slang for the police.

I particularly like the phrase “Ya’ll a Stain”, written on the side of the liquor store
